  • Ghost in the Shell

First of all i thank the_E_y_Es for his help. He spotted and marked lot of spots for me, which i could fix in return. This is a re-encode of my original release, since the source/MPEG2 stream is not available anymore. This is a huge improvement over the original video and as before a lot better than the BD source. This encode is not completely issue free and perfect. not all of the MPEG2/WMV artifacts could be fixed completely without damaging other areas of the video. The video is still quite dirty in places and not all spots have been fixed. Tbh one could probably sit on this for an eternity and won’t be able to fix them all. Video: – Several 1000 frames (severely damaged by MPEG2/WMV artifacts) were restored (per frame) – Several 100.000 spots on several 10.000 of frames were removed and fixed (per frame) – Frames edges were fixed (per scene) – Remnants of the Logo have been removed – Colour and range correction have been made [&hellip

  • Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou

it has been nearly 5 years since i started this. just filtering took 1 year, with various revisions and alterations to the scripts till i was content with the result (at least back then). though when i wanted to start on the subtitle work i got quite discouraged. it was the sheer amount of signs and retiming work that had to be done that made me postpone this various times. i did though work on it occasionally and made a steady but slow progress. only recently i took matters in hand and binge worked on it constantly for a few weeks. it was quite a relief when i was finally done after so many weeks i spent on this. still after nearly 5 years and acquiring a vaster knowledge on filtering, encoding and the general subbing process, i am not quite satisfied with this anymore. if i had some more willingness and patience left to work on this, i would redo at least my filtering chain to get rid of [&hellip

  • Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

There are a few observation i made, which i based my filtering on: DVD is overexposed at places BD grain is bad and completely destructive BD darks are completely crushed BD has a bad colour tints (green, blue, yellow) in different scenes BD has worse colour grading than the DVD, or is none existent BD is horrible shaky BD has lot of broken frames (burns, holes, glue etc) BD has some digital sampling artifacts due to the production BD has horrible blooming due to the bad transfer Things i have fixed: Matched the DVD video to the BD one (frame count) (DVD) Lot of spots and broken frames fixed (several 10k spots and film defects on more than 20k frames) (BD/DVD) Colours, levels etc have been fixed according to my judgement (BD/DVD) Chroma shifts/bleeds fixed (BD/DVD) Shaky BD was stabilised (BD) DVD was completely cleaned up and adjusted for best merging (DVD) Combed frames fixed, even though all were progressive (DVD) Near complete removal of the bad grain (BD) Merging [&hellip

I cleaned up the source, fixed the borders, one ending was properly fixed (24fps animation, 30fps credits), a crippled horizontal line at the bottom was fixed (MMR2), heavy artifacts were removed, and some general improvements were made. • Kaze o Mita Shounen

I fixed several issues, like haloing, broken borders, cleaned up the whole mess and removed a bit of banding. i also tried to fix a big black and white crush in the bottom and top range, but not much could be saved. i also manually fixed some IVTC problems i found. also retimed the subs and edited them slightly. there are still some issues though. border fixing sometimes borked. there are probably 2-3 IVTC problems still present. i also wiped out some details with the quite heavy degraining/denoising i did. occasionally there is some blocking and banding. Specs of this release are: Video: 1078×576 h264 10bit Audio: Japanese 5.1 AC3 Subtitle: English ASS Subs Download: Kaze o Mita Shounen on BakaBT Kaze o Mita Shounen on nyaa

  • Minami-ke Natsuyasumi

That was some really weird source to work with. everything is kinda smooth and blurry, which made it a bit hard to filter properly, or maybe it’s just me. anyway i wasn’t really content with any of the releases, either too much sharpening, smoothing, telecine problems and/or mediocre subs. fixed the timing of the UTW subs because of the bad decimation, added some additional translations to a sign, and added some sliding transitions to some scenes. Specs of this release are: Video: 1024×576 h264 10bit Audio: Japanese Stereo AC3 Subtitle: English ASS Subs (UTW) Download: Minami-ke Natsuyasumi on BakaBT Minami-ke Natsuyasumi on nyaa

  • Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

The R1 script from G_P’s release got some needed improvements on timing, editing and translation. I TS’ed the only sign in the whole movie. Video was cleaned up and a chroma aberration was fixed. besides that i tried to get some definition back. The credits were filtered appropriately with help from tophf, no more pulsing or completely washed out glyphs. Specs of this release are: Video: 1068×576 h264 10bit VFR Audio: Japanese, English 5.1 DTS Subtitle: English ASS Subs (Normal, Signs/Songs) Download: Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust on BakaBT Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust on nyaa
